Had planned on hitting up buffalo creek early Saturday for a little pedal then camping followed by the annual beginning of winter ride aka beanfeSSt. Well the problems with my plans are that they seldom happen. Ended up working all day Saturday but decided to head to bc to meet up with spike and PBR for some camping. Well it was just spike and I for the evening, PBR showed up at some point but I was already crashed. In case you were wondering, it sucks camping with friends in the cold during a fire ban, esp. when it's dark by 7:30. At least we had several dogs to keep us entertained along with a nice hike in the dark for a bit.
These critters were kicking up soooo much dust, it was silly. As you may be able to see that two of them were supposed to be white, but had layers of dust covering them.
So the morning arrives 10/10/10! and a great day was to be had. 20+ riders came out to enjoy the day and that is exactly what we did. Good pace followed by nice re-groups was exactly what was needed for this non-riding cyclist.
my favorite part of riding these days, sitting in the grass relaxing in the middle of the ride. Luvin' it!!!
all is good until you have this guy, who actually rides his bike and rides it pretty fast, up your ass on the climbs. Thanks Fred for making me work WAY harder than I wanted on this casual ride! However, I would have been disappointed if you weren't there to make me hurt.
Spikes fuel for the day; whiskey, beer and sugar!
No riding pictures, as who wants to interrupt the flow? Not me!
Followed by a killer Mexican spread brought together by all of the riders. Thanks Pablo for putting it together again.
Drove home to a light snow shower and snow capped peaks. Hit up Quincy's for a killer steak dinner and propped the feet up for the evening! What a beautiful ending to a fabulous weekend. peace.
